Motorcycle-rickshaw driver severely tortured by SI in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA (92 News) – A sub-inspector severely beat up a driver for hitting his motorcycle-rickshaw with his van on Sialkot Road on Tuesday. Chand was driving his motorcycle-rickshaw that collided with the van of SI Samiullah appointed at the Wazirabad police station. The SI got infuriated and subjected the driver to severe torture with a rod, fists and kicks. The driver lost his senses due to the torture. After the incident, rickshaw drivers staged a demonstration. Gujranwala CCPO Waqas Nazir suspended the SI and ordered the SP Sadr to hold an inquiry into the matter. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident.
