NAB being used for political engineering: PML-Q

LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) spokesman has said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is being used for political engineering. In a statement on Friday, he said that if the reopening of a 20-year-old case is not political engineering then what it is. "The applicant is unknown and reasons behind reopening the matter are also unknown," he said. He said that the NAB could not present a single proof of corruption against the Chaudhry brothers during the last 20 years. "What is the reason behind the media trial when the matter is sub judice," he said. The PML-Q spokesperson said that there is no mention of misuse of power, corruption or kickbacks against the Chaudhry brothers in the NAB reply. "The NAB itself has closed the case of loans against the Chaudhry brothers," he added. He said that these cases are closed and reopened for political engineering.
