Nawaz Sharif's refusal to accept post of PM doesn't mean he is quitting politics: Maryam

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has said that party Quaid Nawaz Sharif's refusal to accept the post of the prime minister does not mean he is quitting politics.

In her message on X, formerly known as Twitter, she said: "In the next five years, Nawaz Sharif will not only do vigorous politics but also he will patronize his governments in the Centre and Punjab."

She said that the people had given a clear-cut majority to Nawaz Sharif in three governments.

"Nawaz Sharif has made it clear in his speeches that he will not be a part of any coalition government. Those who know the temperament of Nawaz Sharif know his principled stance as well. I and Shehbaz Sharif are soldiers of Nawaz Sharif and abide by his orders. We will do work under his leadership and supervision. May Allah Almighty grant us success, Amen!," she maintained.
