NEPRA increases power tariif by Rs5.94 per unit
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased power tariff by Rs5.94 per unit on Monday.
Consumers will have extra burden of Rs50 billion with the increase of Rs5.94 per unit.
According to NEPRA officials, because of deficiency of LNG there was extra burden of Rs7.74 billion. If petroleum prices would not have been increased then electricity prices would not have been raised. In the international market prices of coal and LNG increased.
New rates of electricity will not be applicable on lifeline and K electric officials.
