Opposition declares mini-budget a threat to country's autonomy
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The opposition in the National Assembly declared the mini-budget a threat to the autonomy of the country.
Giving the policy statement on the floor of the House, PML-N leader Khawaja Asif said that the purpose of the Finance Amendment Bill is to surrender to the economic autonomy and nuclear capability.
"A viceroy in the form of a governor is present in the State Bank of Pakistan," he added.
He said that they will have to save the country from being a colony of the financial institutions. "We will oppose the mini-budget vigorously," he added.
PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that the government members should also oppose the mini-budget if it is tabled. "The people are already in a dilapidated condition," he added.
