Pakistan faces internal and external security challenges: CNS Naveed Ashraf

KARACHI (92 News) - Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has said that Pakistan faces internal and external security challenges.

Addressing the passing out parade of 121st Midshipmen and 29th Short Service Commission Course at Pakistan Naval Academy, Karachi on Saturday, he said that the armed forces are capable of dealing with terrorism.

The CNS urged the cadets to equip themselves with modern trends. Earlier, he inspected the parade and gave away prizes among cadets who displayed the best performance.

Lt Naveed Ahmed was honoured with the Quaid-e-Azam Gold Medal, while Midshipman Abdullah Waheed won the honorary sword. Midshipman Aftab Ahmed was awarded Academy Dirk. Officer Cadet Muhammad Khubaib was decorated with Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gold Medal and Officer cadet Muhammad Danish was awarded Commandant Gold Medal.

As many as 70 midshipmen and 28 short service commission officers passed out after successful training.
