Pakistan reports 63 deaths due to COVID-19 in last 24 hours

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan has reported 63 deaths due to coroanvirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours as the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 14,028 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,946 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours as the number of positive cases has surged to 640,988.

The total count of active cases is 36,849. A total of 38,858 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Since the detection of the first COVID-19 case in the country, overall 9,934,373 tests have been conducted so far.

2,587 patients are in critical condition across the country, whereas, 27,47 people recovered from the deadly disease during the last 24 hours. Overall 588,975 have regained their health from the COVID-19.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of casualties have been reported in Punjab.

Till now 263,815 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 205,314 in Punjab, 81,787 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,395 in Balochistan, 53,684 in Islamabad, 12,016 in Azad Kashmir and 4,977 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore, 6,099 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,482 in Sindh, 2,246 in KP, 205 in Balochistan, 554 in Islamabad, 339 in Azad Kashmir and 103 in GB.
