Pakistani courts to decide about PTI founder as per their laws & constitution: Mathew Miller

WASHINGTON (92 News) - US State Department Spokesperson Mathew Miller has said that the Pakistani courts will decide about the PTI founder in accordance with their laws and constitution.

Responding to queries about acquittal of the PTI founder and other leaders in the cipher case on Monday, he said: “It is our position that it – when you come to these laws in Pakistan and this court case, it is something for the Pakistani courts to decide. And you just saw, to this question, charges against him thrown out by the courts.”

To a question about release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui in a possible swap deal, he said that he was not familiar with the full details of the case.
