PDM announces long march towards Islamabad

KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has announced a long march towards Islamabad.

Addressing a rally at Jinnah Bagh in Karachi, Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif criticized the government, saying that the people's rally must be taken to Islamabad to stop the storm of inflation.

He said that Imran Khan Niazi is in habit of telling lies day and night. "If the PDM gets a chance, it will end inflation and make the country a welfare state." 

Addressing the rally, PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that not only meetings but also road caravans would be held and there would be a march towards Islamabad.

He said that the caravan has left and the rulers will be swept away like scum. "This government is based on fake votes. The fake rulers have made Pakistan an insecure state." 

He said that how can electoral reforms come through rigging. "Pakistan was not made for the incompetents and people should get up and bring revolution," he added. 

Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said that the federation has committed atrocities in Sindh. "Roads across Sindh have been destroyed while poverty and unemployment is rampant," he maintained.  

Aftab Sherpao said that Pakistan will be strong only when there is democracy. "If the rulers come to the people today, they will kick their shoes." 

Miftah Ismail said that the PML-N has provided employment to 20 million people. "The PDM and the PML-N will win the next election." 

Awais Noorani said that Imran Khan has stopped the green line project. Punjab government is farming donkeys.

A resolution was tabled in the meeting in which it was demanded that the future of the students is being put at stake by closing down the educational institutions. Oppression of Karachi traders should be stopped, incentives should be given to businessmen.
