People continue protest against exorbitant power bills for fourth day

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - People continued their protest against exorbitant power bills for the fourth day across the country.

Protest demonstrations were staged in different cities. The protesters, including women and children, burnt their bills.

In Rawalpindi, the protesters staged a demonstration outside IESCO Grid Station, Bakra Mandi. They burnt  their power bills.

In Multan, the protesters blocked Vehari Road by burning tyres. They chanted slogans against the government.

In Gojra, violent protesters blocked Motorway (M-4) from both sides. Demonstrations have also been staged in Phalia, Allahabad, Okara, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Khanewal, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalnagar and Haroonabad and other cities.

In Muzaffargarh, people battered by heavy bills attacked the meter readers.

They demanded that the cruel taxes and the increase in the power tariff should be withdrawn immediately.
