PML-N is always ready for election, says Ahsan Iqbal

LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal has said that his party is always ready for the election and the unanimous date will be welcomed.

Talking to 92 News on Thursday, he said that the situation about the election will clarify after the publication of the lists of the constituencies. "A representative government of the people is mandatory for end uncertain economic situation," he added.

He said that the earliest conduct of the elections is in the interest of the country. "The PPP has no problem as level-playing field is our issue," he added.

PPP leader Sherry Rehman said that the election date is not given this way and there is a clear-cut procedure for it in the constitution. "There is need of ambiguity in this regard."

MQM leader Ameenul Haq said that the fair elections should be held on time. "All political parties should get the level-playing field," he added.

Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party spokesman Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the country could come out of the crisis by following the law and the constitution.

ANP leader Zahid Khan said that they have still reservations about the conduct of the elections as there are several complaints about delimitation of the constitution.
