President Arif Alvi appoints Justice Qazi Faez Isa as CJP from Sep 17

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - President Arif Alvi appointed Senior Justice Qazi Faez Isa as Chief Justice of Pakistan with effect from September 17 – the day when incumbent Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will retire.

The President made the appointment under Article 175(A)3.

Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will retire on September 16 while Justice Qazi Faez Isa will take the oath as CJP on September 17.
