Rana Sanaullah says elections will be free and fair

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the elections will be free and fair.

Talking to the media after a meeting of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding the local bodies elections on Thursday, he said that acceptance or refusal of those involved in the May 9 incidents does not matter.

"The people should know that the PPP and the PML-N are two different parties. Difference of opinion is the beauty of democracy," he maintained.

Rana Sanaullah said that all parties should respect each other.

During the meeting, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah requested the ECP to hold the local bodies elections. "Conditions have been made favourable after the May 9 incidents. The local bodies elections in Islamabad should be held a few days before the general elections," he added.
