SC to hear case against trial of civilians in military courts on July 8

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Supreme Court will hear the case against trial of civilians in military courts on July 8.

A seven-member bench headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan hear the case, while Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Irfan Saadat Khan and Justice Shahid Bilal will be its members.

On March 28, the Supreme Court had conditionally allowed the military courts to announce the reserved verdicts of the accused involved in the May 9 incidents.

Hearing the intra-court appeals against the verdicts of the military courts, the court ruled that the verdicts of only cases in which the nominated people could be released before Eidul Fitr should be announced.

It also ruled that the accused awarded one-year sentence will be given concession.
