Senate standing committee approves Cyber Crime Bill
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Standing Committee on Information Technology unanimously approved the Cyber Crime Bill suggesting three-year imprisonment and Rs 500,000 fine to people involved in selling illegal SIMs.
According to the bill, a cyber crime cannot be investigated without the permission of a court designated by a High Court.
Those involved in mobile phone tampering will be awarded three-year RI and a fine amount to Rs one million.
Moreover, the data of Internet providers will not be shared without the court order.
