Senior politician Sardar Attaullah Mengal passes away in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – Senior politician Sardar Attaullah Mengal passed away in Karachi on Thursday. He was 92.

He was being treated due to cardiac ailment at a private hospital for the last one month.

Sardar Attaullah Mengal, father of Akhtar Mengal, was the first chief minister of Balochistan. He will be laid to rest in ancestral area Wadh.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) has announced 10-day mourning on his death and all political activities will remain suspended during this period.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal and Governor Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha have expressed over the sad demise of Sardar Attaullah Mengal. They said that Mengal was people-friendly and wise politicians. "His services for the province will be remembered forever."
