ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has accused its government of increasing its expenses by 25 percent.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said that Pakistan was the only country where a tax had been imposed on the payment of tax. “The government has burdened the poor masses with Rs4,000 billion, but the elite has been spared,” he maintained.

The former PM said that sale of petrol, diesel and illegal cigarettes had become an industry.

“A few people in FATA make billions of rupees, but no tax has been imposed on them. We should be informed about the benefit of the people in it,” he added.
