ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has termed the mini-budget an attack on the autonomy of the parliament.

In a statement on Tuesday, he said that the government wants to make the parliament a rubber stamp in order to fulfill the conditions of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

"The government sunken in public hatred should not imprison in the cage of the IMF. It should leave the people after admitting to its failure," he added.

The PML-N president said that mini-budget will worsen the conditions instead of improving them. "The new year will become the year of the worst inflation."

He said that a majority of the people has fed up with the present team. "The POL products have increased by over Rs 39 during the current year. The medicine prices have continuously been increasing during the last three years," he added.

Shehbaz Sharif said that about two percent of textile mills have been closed due to the closure of gas. "The documentary evidence is proving that the economy has been destroyed," he added.
