Sindh govt demands postponement of NA-249 by-election in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Sindh government has demanded the postponement of the NA-249 by-election.

In a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the Sindh government stated that the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic was spreading at a fast pace.

"The coronavirus situation can worsen due to the election activities. Hence the by-election schedule for April 29 should be cancelled," it demanded.
