What happened during last five years in assembly is a source of shame: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that what happened in the assembly during the last five years is a source of shame.

Expressing his views in the National Assembly during the farewell session on Wednesday, he said that which kind of misbehaviour did not happen here.

"It is responsibility of the next assembly to restore its dignity. In the last week of the assembly, 40 bills of universities were passed. It is a general impression that all MNAs are corrupt," he maintained.

He said that he had spent 13 years of his life in the NAB courts.

Talking to the media, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that the PTI chairman reaped what he had sown. "It is the people who lost during the last five years. We apologize to the nation for the worst destruction and all of us are responsible," he added.
