ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the advice will be sent to President Dr Arif Alvi for dissolution of the National Assembly on completion of its tenure on Wednesday (tomorrow).

Addressing a ceremony regarding solar tube wells at Convention Centre on Tuesday, he said that the caretaker government will be established after the dissolution of the National Assembly.

He expressed the resolve to break the begging bowl and ending poverty and price-hike as well as bringing the agricultural revolution.

The prime minister said that the IMF conditions are very tough. "Pakistan and the people would have been in the economic trouble had there been no IMF programme. There would been chaos over the default. There would have been no medicines and long queues at the petrol pumps," he added.

He said that the world witnessed Sri Lanka in default.

APP adds: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched a Rs377 billion 'revolutionary' project to solarise 100,000 agricultural tube wells across the country, which he said was inevitable and the only way forward to make the country progress.

“This is a revolutionary step as without it, no one can think of Pakistan making progress… I want to give a message that no other project can match the significance of solar energy,” he added.

Calling agriculture the only sector to turn around the national economy, he said the provision of low-cost power supply was inevitable to not only the farmers but also the households, shopkeepers and industry to make the exports competitive.

Lamenting the previous governments’ negligence for not exploiting the immense resources of hydel and solar energy, he said the provision of low cost electricity was the foremost obligation of every government.
