Zafar Mirza confirms two deaths from coronavirus in country
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Zafar Mirza has confirmed two deaths from coronavirus in the country.
In a tweet, he said a 50-year old person from Mardan recently returned from Umra, tested positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance and Health, Taimur Khan Jhagra has said that another patient of Coronavirus who was under treatment at Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar has also passed away due to virus infection. He was 36 years belonged from Hangu.With deep regret I confirm the death of first Pakistani due to #coronavirus. A 50 yr old male from Mardan recently returned from Umra, developed fever, cough & breathing difficulty and tested +ve for corona virus. Contacts are being screened. He added that another patient Abdul Fateh, 36, hailing from Hangu had died at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.Sadly, a second patient in LRH Peshawar, a 36 yr old, from Hangu, has also passed away, from the Corona Virus.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Ajmal Wazir has also confirmed the death due to coronavirus. On the other hand, Special Adviser to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has refuted the death of a patient in Gilgit-Baltistan. He said that the deceased had tested negative for coronavirus.1. A long day and a sad night. We have lost two human lives to a challenge the likes of which I have not seen in my life. And yet we must overcome.
