ANF arrests PML-N Punjab president Rana Sanaullah near Sukheke
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Lahore arrested PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah near Sukheke on Monday.
He has been shifted to ANF Cantonment Office for interrogation. His medical examination was conducted in the ANF custody. ANF Commander Brig Khalid Mahmood supervised the arrest.

Sources said that Rana Sanaullah had left Faisalabad for Lahore at 1pm and the contact with him was made last time near Sukheke. “A huge quantity of contrabands was also recovered from the vehicle of Rana Sanaullah. Its quantity could be up to 15kg,” they said.
They added that Rana Sanaullah faces a situation like Hanif Abbasi. However, no contact could be made with him as his cell number is off.
Rana Sanaullah also faced the charges of financially helping the banned organizations. In addition, he also faces the charge of having links with criminals. He faces the charge of patronizing drug peddlers. He was also considered to be the main accused in the Model Town tragedy.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi ANF Headquarters has confirmed the arrest of Rana Sanaullah.
PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the arrest of Rana Sanaullah. “The arrest of Rana Sanauallah without any case is the worst example of lawlessness and political revenge. Another nefarious example of using institutions on the orders of the prime minster has been set,” he said.
He added that it is regrettable to use the NAB, NAB II and ANF for the arrest of political opponents to pressurize them.
Shehbaz Sharif said that Rana Sanaullah should be presented in court and allegations against him should be made public.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto termed the arrest of Rana Sanaullah as political revenge. “Arrests depict weakness and disappointment of the government,” he added.

On the other hand, PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has confirmed the arrest of party senior leader Rana Sanaullah. She has posted a picture of Rana Sanaullah on his Twitter account.
She said that Rana Sanaullah has been arrested for his courageous stance. “The prime minister is directly involved in the arrest of Rana Sanaullah,” she added.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said that it is surprising that Rana Sanaullah faces the charge of narcotics, not corruption. “PML-N leader Hanif Abbsi was arrested for narcotics.
PML-N leader Rana Tanveer also condemned the arrest of Rana Sanaullah. “I don’t think Rana Sanaullah is involved in narcotics. Such tools do not succeed in politics,” he said, adding protest would definitely be staged against the arrest of Rana Sanaullah.
