ANP secretary Mian Iftikhar arrested, remanded for killing PTI worker
PESHAWAR (92 News) – A local court remanded Awami National Party (ANP) secretary Mian Iftikhar in police custody for one day on Sunday.
Mian Iftikhar was arrested on the charge of killing a 16-year-old student.
The case has been registered on the complaint of deceased’s father Shabbir Alam Khan at Noshera police station.
Habibullah was killed when the PTI workers were celebrating the victory of a candidate.
Workers of both parties quarrelled with each other and later resorted to firing.
Shabbir Alam Khan said that his son was killed by the firing of Mian Iftikhar’s guard. He alleged that the guard had opened fire on the order of Mian Iftikhar.
After the remand, Mian Iftikhar said that the killers had accused him of the boy’s murder. “I will face the situation,” he said.
