ANP suspends party membership of Afrasiab Khattak, Bushra Gohar
PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday suspended the memberships of two senior party leaders Afrasiab Khattak and Bushra Gohar.
According to the details garnered, both the party leaders were suspended due to the violation of party disciplines. The party leadership accused them of violating the party discipline and damaging its interests.
The party leadership had issued a show-cause notice to the two senior party leaders last week and suspended their memberships after it failed to receive a satisfactory response on the notices from them.
In the notice issued on Monday, the party leadership acknowledged that they had received a detailed response from Gohar and Khattak, but said that it failed to satisfy them.
“Their responses are not at all satisfactory therefore the party president has suspended their basic membership according to the party constitution,” the party leadership said in the notification.
