Anti-Narcotic Force seizes 84kg of heroin in Karachi
KARACHI (92 News) – In an intelligence-driven operation, the Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) has on Friday seized about 84 kilograms of heroin and arrested two suspects from the northern outskirts of this sprawling city.
The ANF, Pakistan’s leading agency against drug trafficking in the country received a tip-off and subsequently an ANF team carried out raid at Karachi Port.
The team searched the Malaysia-bound container and seized 69 kilogram heroin but could not arrest anyone.
On the other hand, a team of ANF conducted a raid in at National Highway’s Sassi toll plaza and intercepted a car.
The team recovered 25 kilogram heroin and detained two suspects.
The cumulative worth of the seized heroin comes to around billions of rupees in the international markets.
