Any differences must not halt struggle for a peaceful Karachi, says PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A crucial meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah was held in which matters pertaining to Rangers’ special powers and security situation in the province were discussed.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, while Sindh’s Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sayyal and Provincial Minister for Finance Murad Ali Shah were also present in the meeting.

During the meeting CM Sindh Qaim Ali Shah informed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif regarding provincial government’s reservations relating to Rangers’ powers but the prime minister told CM Sindh that Karachi Operation will continue at any cost and any differences must not halt the struggle for a peaceful Karachi.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar stuck to its stand and said that limitation in Rangers’ power is not a mandate of provincial government but the prime minister assured CM Sindh for addressing their reservations.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also directed the interior minister to visit Karachi to sort out issues.
