Appeal for reopening Hudaibya reference is time-barred: SC detailed verdict
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court, in its detailed judgment, observed the appeal for reopening the Hudaibya reference, is time-barred.
In the 36-page judgment, it has been stated that the High Court rightly dismissed the reference.
The court said that the matter cannot be re-investigated. “The NAB chairman did nothing to forward the case for four years,” it added.
According to the judgment, the NAB prosecutor could not satisfy the court over the issue of reopening the reference. The Sharif family was denied the right to defend themselves.
It stated the reference was unnecessarily delayed for an indefinite period.
On December 15, a three-member bench headed by Justice Mashir Alam had dismissed the appeal in a short judgment.
