Armed forces hold spectacular parade on Pakistan Day in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – All three armed forces held a spectacular parade on war tunes on the 79th Pakistan Day on Saturday.
Malaysian Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was the guest of honour.
President Dr Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak also attended the ceremony. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.
Moreover, Bahrain National Guards Lieutenant-General Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Azerbaijan Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and several ambassadors and high-level civil and military officers also attended the parade.
President Dr Arif Alvi reached the ground accompanied by horse riders a inspected the parade. Air Chief Mujahid Anwar Khan saluted the participants by flying a F-16 jet.
A contingent of Pak Army march past in Parade Avenue. The venue resounded with the slogans of ‘Allah Ho’ when SSG commandos entered the parade ground.
Female troops and Girls Guide also participated in the march past. Troops from Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia also participated in the magnificent parade.
Pak Army and Navy jets, including JF-17 Thunder, F-16, Mirage, P-3 Orion and F-7P, displayed excellent fly past amid the slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.
The formation of Army Aviation’s helicopters, Cobra, POMA and MI-710 was the hallmark of the parade. SSG paratroopers’ free fall from the height of thousands of feet. Turkish F-16 and Chinese aerobatics displayed excellent performance.
The most modern missile system, Ghauri, Babur, Shaheen, Raad missiles, Al-Khalid, Al-Zarar Tanks, TATUD Tank, anti-aircraft guns and armoured vehicles.
Moreover, culture of all the four provinces was shown in the Pakistan Parade. Floats of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and and Gilgit-Baltistan enthralled the audience.
The audience highly applauded the floats reflecting the culture of the country.
