Army to support govts for success of ‘Khush Hal Balochistan’ program: COAS
RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Headquarters Southern Command, Quetta in connection with execution of ‘Khush Hal Balochistan’ (KHB) initiative on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the COAS said that Army will fully support the federal and provincial governments for the success of KHB program. He said that the program in fact is ‘Khush Hal Balochistan – Khush Hal Pakistan’.
CM Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri appreciated contributions of security apparatus for improving stability in the province and support for the execution of KHB plan.
Earlier, the COAS and the Balochistan chief minister were briefed in details about socio-economic and security environment and the plan for execution of KHB.
The provincial administration and military commanders were also present. The plan was discussed in details. A few aspects required further deliberation at the staff level will be finalized accordingly in next few days.
During the meeting, the COAS approved all aspects in security domain. Details of complete KHB initiative will be shared soon.
Earlier on arrival, the COAS was received by Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa.
