Arresting politicians would harm state, says Khurshid Shah

KARACHI (92 News) – Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has on Sunday said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is used for politics.

Talking to media on the occasion of chehlum of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Khurshid Shah said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb should not politicized, adding that it would be a big loss. “Arresting politicians would only harm state not benefit,” he said.

Shah said that many issues would resolve only by following court and law, adding that the Chief Minister Shindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah can tell regarding the extension in the powers of Rangers.

The opposition leader said that the party will decide regarding the candidate on Amin Fahim’s vacant seat of NA-218 and party’s presidency.

He said that we have made the MQM innocent and the MQM has won the local government elections by taking advantage of that innocence.

Shah said that if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has held a meeting with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, then he shouldn’t have held that meeting, adding that he doesn’t think Nawaz Sharif would take tis kind of risk.
