PESHAWAR (92 News) – Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has demanded the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and re-election in the province.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Asfandyar Wali condemned the arrest of ANP secretary general Mian Iftikhar.

“We are not afraid of jails. If the provincial government wants to try Mian Iftikhar, it should do it. I will not be a Pakhtunkhwa, if I did not take revenge with the interest,” he said.

The ANP chief said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif are held responsible if rigging is done in Punjab, while the ECP is held responsible if rigging is done in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that the provincial government incapable of holding transparent elections should be dismissed and fresh elections should be held after establishing a caretaker government.

Asfandyar Wali said that it was the responsibility of the provincial government to control law and order situation during the local body elections, not the Election Commission.
