Asif Zardari asks PM to clear his stance on Charter of Economy
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari has asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to clear his stance on the Charter of Economy.
He expressed these views when he reached the Parliament House on Saturday. “The PPP will respond to the demand for the Charter of Economy after consulting the opposition parties,” he said.
To a question about the Amnesty Scheme, Asif Zardari said that the scheme will not be good for the prime minister. The prime minister will take the opposition into confidence over the Charter of Economy.
PPP leader Syed Khurshid Shah said that the government talks about the economy on one side and level the allegation of the NRO on the other hand. “The government’s thought is negative.”
He said that now the prime minister should contact the opposition for the Charter of Economy.
Khurshid Shah said that the PTI would be in need of the NRO. “When we talked to the NA speaker, we were accused of demanding the NRO,” he said.
He said that it would be negative if the opposition does not participate in the budget voting.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with PML-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Both leaders also discussed different matters, including the Charter of Economy.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that he had talked about betterment of the country. “We will have to work for the betterment of the country,” he said.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Asif Zardari had proposed the Charter of Economy. “We will go to any extent for the interest of Pakistan,” he said.
