Asif Zardari has no association with Zardari Group, claims Kaira
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan People’s Party leader Qamar Zaman Kaira claimed on Monday that former president Asif Ali Zardari has not association with the Zardari Group.
Speaking to the journalists along with other party leaders Chaudhry Manzoor and Nayyar Bukhari, he claimed that when Zardari became the president in 2013, he separated himself from the business. He added that he has no association with Zardari Group.
Regarding appearance of Asif Zardari and his siter Faryal Talpur before FIA today in a money laundering case, Qamar Zaman Kaira said no questionnaire was handed over to Asif Zardari.
Responding to the presidential election, he lamented that the opposition parties made extensive efforts to bring their joint candidate for presidential election but unfortunately could not reach a consensus. He further said that the opposition parties should remain united to hold the government accountable.
The PPP leader said no one had any objection over the personality of the PPP’s nominee Aitzaz Ahsan but there was a reservation that PPP should have consulted the other opposition parties before proposing name of Aitzaz Ahsan.
Speaking on the occasion, Chaudhry Manzoor said that PPP has no compulsions regarding nomination of candidature for presidential election.
