ATC again issues non-bailable arrest warrants for three MQM leaders in Dr Asim case
KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for four accused, including three MQM leaders, in the Dr Asim case.
Investigation Officer DSP Altaf Hussain presented a report on non-arrest of the accused, saying that the nominated accused Rauf Sidiqui is in court while Pasban secretary general Usman Moazzam had been arrested from jail.
He said that raids were conducted to arrest MQM leader Wasim Akhtar, Saleem Shahzad, Anees Qaimkhani and PPP’s Qadir Patel, but they would not be arrested.
The court expressed indignation at the report and said that Wasim Akhtar was present in talk shows daily, but the police could not trace them.
Rauf Siddiqui told court that workers of the JI and ANP were treated in hospital and a case should be registered against them as well.
He said that Imran Khan had also admitted that Afghan Taliban were treated in his hospital and action should be taken against them.
