ATC cancels Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan’s bail, issues arrest warrant for 26 MQM leaders
KARACHI (92 News) – The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has on Friday cancelled the bail of Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan and issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders including London-based party chief Altaf Hussain.
The ATC heard 23 cases of provocative speech against the MQM leaders including party chief Altaf Hussain.
During the hearing, Karachi designated mayor Waseem Akhtar and Rauf Siddiqui appeared before the court, while Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan didn’t appear before the court and sent an application seeing one-day immunity from the court.
The court rejected his application and cancelled his bail in 23 cases, while the court, extended the bail of Waseem Akhtar and Rauf Siddiqui until March 26.
