Audit of allotted lands in Karachi Port Trust to be carried out soon: Zaidi
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Marine Affairs Ali Zaidi said on Sunday the complete audit will be carried out of the allotment of lands in Karachi Port Trust during the last twenty years.
Speaking to the journalists, he said the aim of the audit is to ensure transparency in the department.
The minister said the drive against encroachments in Karachi is being carried out on orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Zaidi said encroachments have ruined infrastructure of the city which needs to be restored. He said that take it patience the cleaning process of seventy years could not be done within 100 days.
He also appealed Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to supervise the anti-encroachment operation.
