Azam Khan appointed as new secretary to PM Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD –Imran Khan has appointed former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary Mohammad Azam as principal secretary to the prime minister.
According to a notification, Azam, who was working as a 21-grade officer, will now perform his duties at Prime Minister’s House. However, ex-secretary Sohail Amir has been directed to report to establishment division.
Earlier today, third consecutive democratic transition stands completed on Saturday with Imran Khan taking oath as 22nd prime minister of Pakistan. President Mamnoon Hussain administered oath of office to the newly elected Prime Minister at a simple but impressive ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr this morning.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was given the guard of honor after becoming the 22nd prime minister of Pakistan. Imran Khan, who took oath as prime minister of Pakistan, was received a guard of honour on his arrival at Prime Minister’s House by a contingent drawn from three services.
