Babar Awan tenders resignation from Senate
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Dr Babar Awan has on Thursday resigned from the Upper House of the Parliament.
Dr Babar Awan who was elected Senator with the support of the PPP has sent his resignation to Senate Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani.
Renowned lawyer Babar Awan had defected to the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and joined the cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
He had resigned from the membership of the PPP after 21 years.
