Balloting for successful Hajj applicants today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Computerized balloting for selecting over 71,000 out of 269,000 intending pilgrims under the Government Scheme will be held in Islamabad on Thursday (today).

According to an official of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, necessary arrangements have already been completed in this regard.

The list of successful pilgrims would immediately be put on the ministry website.

The official said successful aspirants would also be intimated through a letter and Short Messaging Services on their mobile phones.


A total number of 143,368 aspirants will perform the Hajj this year, half under the government scheme and half through private operators.

The Hajj operation will start from August 16.
