Balochistan senators protest for not starting work on CPEC’s Western routes
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Senators from Balochistan have on Monday staged a protest for not starting work on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s (CPEC) Western routes during a Senate Standing Committee for Communication meeting.
A special meeting of Senate Standing Committee for Communications was held in Quetta with chairman Senator Dawood Khan in chair.
Federal Secretary for Communications and National Highway Authority (NHA) officials briefed the meeting about CPEC project.
Committee chairman Senator Dawood Khan said that the work on project’s Western routes has not been started.
Committee member Senator Usman Khan Kakar said that neither funds were allocated nor the tenders were issued for project’s Western routes.
The Committee also expressed displeasure over the absence of the NHA chairman.
