DHAKA – Bangladesh beat Pakistan by eight wickets in their last match to complete an ODI clean sweep at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.

Soumya Sarkar (127) and Tamim Iqbal (64) were the top scorers for Bangladesh. The pick of the bowlers for Pakistan was Junaid Khan who took the only two wickets of the innings, as the hosts cruised towards victory with nearly 11 overs to spare.

Earlier after winning the toss, Pakistan scored 250 runs before being all-out in 49 overs.

Putting his debut cap on for the ODI, Sami Aslam opened the innings positively with team captain Azhar Ali.

However, the rest of the team struggled and failed to put an impressive total on the scoreboard.

After Azhar’s dismissal, eight wickets fell contributing a total of 47 runs.

Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, Arafat Sunny, Rubel Hossain and Mashrafe Mortaza bagged two wickets each.
