Benazir murder case: Ex-CPO, SP get 17-year jail, Musharraf declared fugitive

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday awarded former CPO Saud Aziz and SP Khurram Shahzad 17-year imprisonment each in the Benazir murder case.

The court also acquitted five accused due to lack of evidence.

The acquitted men include Rafaqat, Hussnain Gull, Sher Zaman, Aitzaz Shah and Qari Abdul Rasheed.

Police have arrested CPO Saud Aziz, SP Khurram Shahzad from the courtroom.


The court also declared former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf a proclaimed offender and ordered to confiscate his property and assets.
