Bilawal says change in name of BISP is Imran Khan’s conspiracy
KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that changing the name of Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is a conspiracy by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Talking to the media after a tree plantation drive on Sunday, he said that Imran Khan would first change the name and then he would close it. “The government is anti-people,” he said.
The PPP chairman was of the view that the government wants to introduce One Unit by abolishing the 18th Amendment. “The government wants to make the rich more rich,” he added. “We will not tolerate illegal occupation of lands.”
He said that the prime minister is afraid of his train journey. “The attitude of the government is undemocratic and unconstitutional,” he maintained.
Bilawal said that Imran Khan will have to hold a meeting in Ghotki in response to his train journey. “The federal government has adopted a step-motherly attitude towards the Sindh government,” he said.
He said that they are facing difficulties in the development projects launched by the Sindh government. “The irrigation problem in Shikarpur is being resolved,” he said.
PPP leader Khurshid Shah said that Benazir will be alive until democracy would work. “These are water bubbles and would vanish soon,” he said.
Saeed Ghani said that it would be a mistake to change the name of Benazir Income Support Program through an ordinance. “The government has become bankrupt due to its acts,” he said.
He said that the PPP had not named the project after Benazir Bhutto and it was named after approval from the House. “Governor Imran Ismail has no apprehension about his designation,” he said.
PPP secretary general Nayyar Bukhari said that the worst examples of political revenge are being set up in New Pakistan. “It will be madness to efface to name of the first female prime minister of the country,” he added.
