Birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam being celebrated
KARACHI (92 News) – The nation is being celebrated the birth anniversary of Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with renewed commitment to work hard for realization of ideas he envisioned for Pakistan.
The day dawned with a 21-gun salute in the provincial metropolis. The national flag is hoisted at the principal government buildings.
An impressive change of guard ceremony, in connection with the birth anniversary celebrations of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was held at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi on Monday morning during which cadets of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul mounted the ceremonial guard duty.
Commandant Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, Major General Akhter Nawaz Satti, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inspected the parade.
He also visited the mazar, laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha.
Governor and Chief Minister Sindh will visit the Mazar of Quaid to lay floral wreaths and offer Fateha. People from various walks of life would also visit the Mazar of Quaid to pay tributes to the Founder of Pakistan.
A number of organizations have arranged programs to pay tributes to Quaid-s-Azam and highlight various aspects of his vision and leadership.
A number of other events have been planned both at official and civil society levels to highlight life, achievements and different aspects of the personality of the Quaid.
It will be a public holiday and national flag will be hoisted atop all public and private buildings.
In their separate messages on the occasion of birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have urged the nation to get united for the noble cause of national progress and prosperity.
The President said the ideal way to pay tribute to the great Quaid is not to hesitate from any sacrifice for the development and prosperity of the motherland.
He said the relevance of Quaid’s teachings and thought is increasing with every passing day as he had given us the golden principles of unity, faith and discipline using his foresight and political acumen.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in his message said this day has a special significance for the whole nation because besides paying tributes to the great leader, it is a day to reiterate the resolve for reviving Quaid’s thoughts and move forward with his ideas.
He said on this day, the nation should retrospect how much we have succeeded in achieving the highest objectives set by our great Quaid for which the state of Pakistan was created.
