Burglars raid police check-post in Rahim Yar Khan, nab seven officials; CM takes notice

RAHIM YAR KHAN (92 News) – As a reaction to a police operation in the region, as many as three dozen burglars raided a police check-post in Machaka area of Rahim Yar khan, taking seven police officials as hostage with them.

As per reports, Rahim Yar Khan and Ghotki Police were jointly carrying out an operation against burglars in the area when three gangs named Chotu Bakhrani, Saltor Shar and Gudu Shar attacked the Younis Chaki check-post in Machaka area. The thieves took six constables and one ASI hostage on gunpoint and took them to an unknown location.


As per police, reinforcements have been sent to the Machaka area with police continuing the operation against the thieves along with carrying out raids on massive scale to free the kidnapped officials.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister SHahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered a grand operation to free the kidnapped officials. The CM also ordered the regional police officer to present a report of the incident.
