Buzdar grills police for kidnappings cum killings of children in Chunian
LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday expressed his annoyance over kidnappings cum murders of children in Chunian area of Kasur, saying repeated such acts are the result of police inefficiency and negligence.
Presiding over a high-level meeting in early hours at the Lahore airport soon after returning from Saudi Arabia where her performed Umra, the chief minister received briefing from Punjab police chief Captain (retired) Arif Nawaz Khan about incidents of abduction and murder of children in Chunian.
“Police inefficiency and negligence is causing repetition of such incidents and those responsible for criminal negligence will be facing severe accountability,” Buzdar made it clear while grilling the Punjab police.
Had the police investigators applied latest techniques to trace the Chunian victims and their kidnappers, tragic deaths could have avoided, Buzdar said while showing anger police working.
He said suspension of policemen isn’t enough as such officials must be terminated from service.
“All those police officers will go home who will not discharge their duties willfully.”
The chief minister ordered the police chief to deploy additional police force in Chunian and quick arrest of culprits involved in kidnappings and killings of innocent children.
