Candlelight vigils held for APS martyrs in China, Turkey

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Several hundred people turned towards the Pakistani consultes in China and Turkey to participate in the ceremonies held to pay homage to the martyrs and survivors of Army Public School (APS).

The huge number of participants laid flowers in front of the pictures of martyrs during the the ceremonies and candlelight vigils to show solidarity with the children held by the Pakistani consulates in Turkey and China.

On December 16, 2014, a team of Taliban gunmen coldly slaughtered 150 people, more than 130 of them children aged between nine and 19, at a school in Peshawar in an assault that shocked and outraged a country already scarred by nearly a decade of extremist attacks.
