Case against me is fraud and way to take revenge: Nawaz
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that he hope to get justice from the court as there was nothing in the case.
Talking to media outside the accountability court on Thursday, he said that the whole nation can see injustice, adding that the investigation and lies of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is in front of the masses.
Nawaz said that the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) had tried to hide facts which were in his favor, but its report had been exposed, adding that he was disqualified without any proof of wrongdoing. “JIT head Wajid Zia had admitted in the court that there was no proof that he (Nawaz) had received salary,” he added.
The ex-PM alleged that three members of the JIT were the enemies of Sharif family, whose family members were active in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and got that party’s tickets for contesting election.
“The court case against me is a fraud and a way to take revenge from me as some people cannot bear me. If there was no proof against me then why the case was filed,” he asked.
The PML-N Quaid said that he did not bow before anybody except Allah Almighty and millions of his supporters were with him and loved him. The nation, he said, would hold JIT chief Wajid Zia accountable for his deeds. “Everybody can see what Wajid Zia is saying now. He is verifying the facts stated by our lawyer.”
