CEC rejects political parties’ demand for resignations of ECP members
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza has rejected political parties’ demand for the resignations of the Election Commission of Pakistan members.
A meeting of the ECP with the political parties was held in Islamabad on Thursday.
Addressing the meeting, the CEC said that the ECP members will complete their constitutional tenure.
He asked political parties to play their roles in implementation of the election code of conduct.
The meeting discussed rules and regulations regarding the local bodies’ elections in Punjab and Sindh.
